Ernest Hemmingway - what a guy, what a life. Clinical definition of a person who was bipolar depression. I only wish the medicine that is available today was in use back then. I've read a bunch of his books. The one I liked most was "Old Man and the Sea". I believe he won a pulitzer prize for writing it. I don't want to wreck if for anyone, but an old man catches a huge marlin and survives to tell about it. It is rather a short story, could only take a few days to read it.
In Hemmingway's immediate family several took their own lives. Bipolar is a disease that can get past down from father to son. I also know that Hemmingway was a big drinker, probably because he was bipolar and he couldn't control his mood swings.
I know he liked to go to bull fights with his friends. I think he was just one of those things people like with Mania in there lives. Don't have much more to say about this guy. Just because you are famous doesn't mean you can't contract a tough disease like this one. Pick up one of his books, they are written very well. Cheers my people.
