Marathon Running

I used to be big into running. I ran 10K's, half marathons, and full marathons. I would run up to 20 miles a day to train for a marathon. I even had a coach that told me how far and how fast to run while I was training. When you are training for a 26.2 mile marathon the more help you can get the better. My diet consisted of yogurt parfaits, baking full chickens, and peanut butter and bagels with honey. No pizza, soda, or junk food. I weighted around 165lbs. Right now I weight around 200lbs. Because of my Tardive Dyskonia I barely walk around the neighborhood. So I haven't run very much.

My favorite time of year to run is December. It is just cold enough not to sweat, and warm enough to not get cold. I always ran by myself. It is best to run with a group that is as fast as you want to be. It is also good to have a garmin watch or a apple watch so you know how many miles you've ran and at what pace your going.

I was never an expert on running, but I sure tried as hard as I could. My best time for running a 10K was 8:93 miles per hour. My best half marathon was around 1:07 hours. My best marathon was 5:18 hours. I was never really that great at running, but I worked really hard and tried my best. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have. When you train for a marathon it takes a big commitment. From you and your family. I never took it lightly. I just remember how well I slept after a full day of training. I slept like a baby.
